Who is to Blame: Is it users of SEO products or is it Search Engines?
I confess. Prior to learning about SEO programs and site promotion industry, I thought Google was perfect. I Used Google to look for everything from celebrities, to images, to current events to obscure gadgets and indiscriminately trusted the findings. Then I heard about SEO apps and a separate business dedicated to promoting sites, and my attitudes changed. But even before that, having done some introspective reading, I got a feeling that search engines, Google to boot, know far from everything, and reveal to the web community a tiny portion of that.
My Google escapades soon convinced me that Flikr is a more comprehensive image data bank, that with the help of Digg I can have nice current events coverage without having to rummage through Google SERPs (rummaging is more descriptive than Google search), and human search is better administered by Facebook. It seems like every time I look for strange things on Google, the results are almost always messy, to put it kindly. Try searching for SEO software and other SEO related subjects on Google and you are almost ready to lose your self-control. I mean, come on, what’s the relationship between SEO applications and online education webpages or online casinos? Gladly, in my disappointment.
So when news of best seo tools software and the entire field revolving around it invaded my humble worldview, my suspicions about domains appearing on page one of Google grew manifold. Do they deserve to be there and who is to blame, Google or site promoters using SEO applications. The moral quandary is immense. Do I stop using my SEO google rank checker or do I quit using Google instead? I resolved that I can’t turn away from Google just yet. At least not till the decent contender enters the picture. For now I will keep juggling between Blekko, Google and the above methods to complement the SERP mess that Google is. And, oh,yes, I will continue playing with my SEO tools.
Truth is that SEO applications is the reason why guys like me get some visibility online. Sophisticated as they are, Google Web spiders are not likely to find some no-name guy and rank his website well. In this respect, I remain a firm believer in SEO products and organic search. If it was all about the paid search, the multinational giants would demolish me before I knew it. And there are hundreds of businesses on the Fortune list! But here is something else that irritates me and other check backlinks users, I am confident. There are guys who buy SEO software products and use them to sell dresseson online education sites and the like. What we see is rubbish that not only pervades the web but is also well indexed by Google.
What is the user perspective on this? They search for SEO product reviews and will instead find junk SERPs. They get disenchanted. So much for the “Internet justice”. Does this mean that SEO product and service field is bad? Probably not.
The unethical users of SEO applications need to stop bastardizing the Internet but it’s like ordering hackers to stop cracking the code. The bad thing about it is that black hat SEOs are overusing the chance to be seen on the Net that is offered to the random person like me. For now users just have to treat them. One can only hope that Google will put more emphasis on catching the schemers abusing SEO tools, and if Google doesn’t, the big Google will.
